HotChaCha is opening for the Breeders tonight at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland.  They're on at 8 pm sharp followed by Times New Viking.  Cleveland / Columbus / Dayton trio of power ! The Ladies will also have their brand new 12" EP on multi color vinyl with hand made covers by Shawn from Child Bite.   The EP will only be available at the live dates listed below until early October,  so go get you some records.  Buy tickets here. 

Ok,  this is getting out of hand . . .  it's been the hottest summer I think ever in NYC and it's looking like a few more days of 90 plus heat.  We're ready for the wonderful and crisp fall.

We've moved our label office to Brooklyn, New York ! More to come on that front as we get settled and unpacked.   The studio is still clipping along in Cleveland too.   The next few weeks will be busy busy as we roll out new Lp's from Like Bells,  The New Lou Reeds, The Dreadful Yawns, and HotChaCha.

The Like Bells new record Palma is being pressed right now,  the test presses sound great and the final LP's are going to be on multi colored vinyl with a hand stamped full color jacket, hand written notes and of course a download code from Recordcode.com

The New Lou Reeds LP is at press right now,  Stephe stopped by last night and we got started silk screening the covers!   The covers are a  full color print of a collage Stephe made with a Red silk screen over top. The LP will also be on multi color wax and come with a special insert and download code.  

Thursday night May 27 th Like Bells are performing at the Happy Dog !  This is the last Cleveland performance with guitarist Gabe Baker.  Hope you can swing out and catch it.

The Dreadful Yawns are reforming the Rest era line up to perform that record in full this Friday at the Beachland.   The Yawns released Rest and the band had broken up and reformed before the album had even been released.  Don't miss this opportunity to see the Yawns roll out one of our favorite records here at ESR live this Friday !  Mystery of Two is also playing along with Prisoners and a DJ set from Brandon and Molly.  Show starts at 10pm and it's $5 to get in. The New Mystery of Two tape EP - Color Me is up on the store.  Grab one for $6 PPD. It comes with Crayons and a digital download code ! 

Mystery of Two is heading to NYC April 17th for a day long in-store at Permanent Records in Brooklyn ( Greenpoint ) for Record Store Day.  M2 has a new Cassette Ep called Color Me  that will be available and it comes with crayons so you can,  well,  color your own cover . . . it also has a digital download code in case your tape player's f'd up.  M2 will be playing sets through out the day at  1, 3,  5, and 7.   They'll also be at the Cakeshop Friday April 16th at 9pm.

The Dreadful Yawns and the New Lou Reeds both have records at mastering right now.  More on that soon.

February flew by . . . Hopefully you had a chance to check out some ESR tunes Via our Free Download promo.  As per what's on the horizon?    Like Bells are finishing up their next release, Mystery of Two is working on a Tape and new LP, HotChaCha is writing and gearing up for recording, and The New Lou Reeds are just about finished with their next one.    There's a lot more happening with details on the way soon so stay tuned !

It's a new year,  it's a new decade, it's covered in snow . . . well at least it is here in Northeast Ohio.   Hopefully all the newness and in some cases the frozen wetness, have found you well.  ESR is prepping for a busy year with Like Bells about to jump in the studio, HotChaCha busy writing new material  for their next record, Mystery of Two in the middle of a couple video projects along with some other exciting things bubbling under the ice . . . er surface.            

Speaking of ice Mystery of Two is doing a residency at Arts Collinwood just down the street from the studio,  every Saturday in February with friends Filmstrip , Buried Wires, Freedom, and Founding Fathers.    There will also be a visual art display from Ryan, Nick, and Jeff in the Cafe part of Arts Collinwood.  All the events are free and really the only thing that should stop you from being there is, well, geography !?!

Things are clipping along as we zero in on the end of the year.  If you're in the Cleveland area Mystery of Two is playing a Holiday Show at the Beachland on Dec 23rd and HotChaCha is playing a New Years Party at Now That's Class Dec 31st.   We have some exciting things planned for 2010. More on that soon !
